AAMOC 2010 Fall New Student Registration

E-mail Print PDF

New Student Registration Information

AAMOC has had a very high rate of return students for Fall 2010. Total number of registered return students and their 5th grade siblings is very close to 150 which is the AAMOC limit.   In order to accommodate some new students, AAMOC will accept another 15 students who are in fifth grade in the current academic year (2010/2011).   New student registration date is TBD pending availability of Tappan Middle School by AAPS.   Ann Arbor Public School Students have priority and it will be first come first served.

AAMOC Fall Registration is on Aug 26 and 28 (2010)

Greeting to all AAMOC students and their families:

(Download registration form)

1. AAMOC volunteers hope all students and their family have had an enjoyable and relaxing summer break.

2. PLEASE Read carefully and register your RETURNING son/daughter for fall 2010 NOW. Otherwise you have to get in line like NEW Students (which means AAMOC can not guarantee registration).  If you are out of town, have someone else to register your son or daughters in one of the two dates. Only 5th or 6th grade sibling can put in an application at the registration time*.

3. AAMOC needs 2-3 volunteers to help on registration dates.  Please send me an email if you can help.

4. AAMOC needs at least two new teachers.  Please volunteer if you can.   This is a very enjoyable and rewarding for volunteer and volunteer children. No experience is necessary and we will train you if needed.   Please let me know if you can teach.  Without 2 additional teachers, we have to either reduce number of students or have larger classes.

5. AAMOC is pleased that AAPS is allowing us to use Tappan Middle school on Saturdays like previous years.   AAMOC enjoyed the free use of the classrooms in the last 8 years.   However, due to national state of economy, this year AAMOC has to contribute $150/week for the "use cost" to AAPS ($2250/term).     Therefore, each student needs to contribute $15/term to cover Tappan use cost (based on plan to register only 150 students).

6. This year AAMOC plans to register returning students before school starts and we have set up two dates to accommodate majority if not all.

7. Finally, please help us to present that AAMOC is the best volunteer organization. AAMOC family is large and library is relatively small place.   Please observe library etiquette and leave as soon as you are done with registration or library business. AAMOC would like to enjoy this opportunity in the coming years.

* AAMOC will admit only 5th and 6th grader NEW students this year.

Regards,

Mohammad Hassani

AAMOC End of the year Ceremony Reservation

E-mail Print PDF

AAMOC volunteers are working hard to prepare for end of the year ceremony. AAMOC has a limited budget for end of the year refreshment/food and at the same time we want to have enough for everyone.

Please take you time and fill out the attached reservation form and give it back to me or any other volunteer on Saturday June 5th.

1. PLEASE do not email this back to me as I can not handle 150+ emails.

2.  Please make sure to submit the requested information on Saturday June 5th.   Last year we ran out of food because half of the people did not participate in the reservation process.

Thank you.

Regards,

Mohammad Hassani
