AAMOC - Ann Arbor Math Olympiad Co. Op.

First MOEMS test will be this Saturday (Nov 12th)

Qualification:

• 4th and 6th Grade Student E test
• 7th and 8th Grade Student M test
• 6th grade student may take the M test for their own assessment/benefit
• Arrive Early to be on time and arrive prepared.

AMC 8 test - will be administered at Tappan Middle School

• Date: Nov 15th - Sorry this is a national test and must be administered on the exact Date
• Time: 6:00 PM (Arrive Early and prepared).
• Qualification: Up to and including 8th grade students
• Can take the test only at one site (if you take the test somewhere else, you can not take the test at AAMOC).

AAMOC has paid for all students to take these tests. There are 5 MOEMS tests through out the year. All qualified AAMOC students are expected to take MOEMS tests. Level I students may find these test challenging and may score very low on the first couple of tests. Students and parents should focus on their progress on subsequent tests.

AMC 8 is more challenging than MOEMS tests. Some 30 AAMOC students have been attending extra classes on Saturdays to prepare for this test. All 7th and 8th graders are encouraged to take the AMC 8 test (it is not mandatory). AMC 10 and 12 test are scheduled for Feb 2012.

Parents:

Please support your children to arrive early and arrive prepared (bring what is needed to take a test). It is a good practice run for taking any other standardized test. Most classes will offer the tests at the beginning of the class.

You will not get a reminder on future MOEMS tests. MOEMS test dates are on AAMOC Calendar.
