Return Student Registration (Only committed members and Absolutely No New Students)

First Date and Time:    Tuesday – Sep 6th, 6:00-7:30 PM

Second Date and Time    Thursday Sep 8th, 6:00-7:30 PM

Location: Ann Arbor Gallup Park - Shelter (location 7 of park map)

· There is no need for students to be present at the registration time

· All return students must register (last June reservation does not constitute registration)

New Student Registration

· Registration Time: 8:30 AM at Tappan Middle School (2nd floor)

· Date: Saturday Sep 10th – AAMOC 1st day of classes (plan to attend classes till 10:45 AM)

· Only a Parent/Guardian can register for his/her own child (cannot do it for friends and family)

· Student and a parent/guardian must participate in the assembly on the first day.

· Please bring documentation verifying 5th grade status and a personal check for payment.

· Cost for each new student is $97.00 for fall term + additional cost of textbook.

AAMOC T Shirt           $7.00 (prepaid cost; $8.00 later on) mandatory if student does not have one

AAMOC  Bag              $10.00 mandatory if student does not have one

Deposit                 $20.00/student per year

AAPS Cost Share         $15.00/student per term

AAMOC  Cost Share       $45.00/term

First Day of Class (Saturday September 10th)

Mandatory Assembly at 9:00 -9:30 AM. Each student must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the first day of the class   Please allow additional time for parking far away from building and arrive on time.  Tea/coffee and doughnuts will be provided.

Student will attend classes starting 9:45 AM (New students 1 hour, return students up to 2 hours).   Student should plan to be available accordingly.

Placement:

Return students will report to their last year class on the first two weeks.   Some sections will be combined to accommodate classrooms for new incoming students.  After two weeks review of previous year material, teachers will give students a placement test.   Then teachers will assign each student an appropriate level class.   AAMOC teachers are still working on refining the placement process and details will be communicated as soon as possible.

Help Needed:

AAMOC needs many volunteers to help with registration and on the first day to start classes. Please show up at the registration and on the first day earlier and offer your help.
